Whats so important about banning the bots? They don't botter me. Without them it's only more obvious how empty the server is. And without their shops, (almost) no more mats for sale.
Anyway, Levia didn't see most of them on brighid today. I did my wq just after he logged off, and saw at least 8 bots lvl 30 to 70.

Levia, do you pm ppl before banning? or is it easy to tell who is botting?

also, if i suspect some1 is dualboxing should i use report bot function? coz as far as i know its not allowed and i cant really tell if they are using 1 or 2 comps or even if its same person. would it be considered as spam? or investigated?

as you all know indeed wodan has more bots then brighid, so i start on brighid most of the time there all gone within a hour / hour half, after that i spend time on wodan banning them

and currently iv done that thursday friday AND today!

for most ppl before they start flaming again iv banned bots brighid today a few 10 / 20 bots not very much!.. in a hour i recieved NO ticket at all..

so i will now loggout at brighid and spend time on wodan to look up there!


Ps antibot system we are working on i know we have sayed that allready a long time.
on Monday i have a conversation with the office about some things and also that situation will be on the order what the status is of the antibot software and m sure Luco or ceasar will awnser that question there self.

Hello Everybody,

a small update about this weekend Bots hunting on both servers!

it was a Success to plan this weekend bot hunting.

and i had allot of support of allot of players who where hunting them down.
I want to thank all the players who helped & reported all the bots they could find.

So for now........
This bot hunting weekend is Over!

this week we repeat doing our work and banning bots.

strange....how it's possible for a bot to lvl up to +70...and not only one...but a lot of them, for that it's need at least 2 months , even if are grind 24/24. Who have some advantage from this bots...and why aren't banned...for some reason perhaps....who know...no one care. The staff of PW work on forum...but who take care of server...pfff lost of time here. Bya all...and have fun whit bots.

as you said, its mostly just how much ppl care. if a gm isnt online to take the bot report, then most ppl dont bother with making a support ticket about it.

2nd, its about how well they manage to "hide". those that are named "asgkhwue" or similar is np to catch and detect as i almost certain they neved done quests. but i seen alot of other, mostly WF, bots in guilds with reasonable names that done atleast some quests.

one easy way imo to detect a bot is to look how they loot. if they ALYWAY 100% of the time walk up to the exact location where the mob died to loot, especially if there is no drop, then its a bot. this is even esier to spot in air/water, there is just no way a live player can controll the char so that it always move to the EXACT spot where the mob died, as a live player have no real reference to where it died if there is no loot.

Why do you think players on Wodan complain about bots even if they can kill them ?

Because they just rez in town and start over and over again.
Because you get a red name for nothing.
Because ppl has more interesting things to do than killing bots. Like flame or QQ on the forums or whatever.
